What sort of paint do i need. Straight to block work??

i used santex, but there a product called Zinsser allcoat which is very good

how long does it take for the floor paint to dry?

I used normal external wall paint on mine. Took two coats though, even with the sealant that you're supposed to use before hand...



The floor paint is B&Q and is shit . I need to do it again, after less than a year, as it is peeling .

I used Dulux Weathershield exterior masonry paint.

Garage is single layer brick and looks identical (internally) to RobS’s.

Have to say in mine the walls were done with B&Q white emulsion, rollered on and the floor with proper floor paint (expensive but superb). No flaking at all.

Ditto - two coats of cheap emulsion - lasted 3 years now without staining or fading

"Nice" piece of old carpet covering the floor as well.
