Default how do u test a lamda- oxy sensor?

in school boy explanation how doyou test these as i think
mine is not working rite when it gets hot!

you can test the actual sensor itself with a gas blowtorch (if it's a Zirconia type sensor) and a multimeter

BUT, please check with Stu first to see if the EsCos standard one is Titania construction, as I don't think it works the same way with the blowtorch test..

I see the titania version goes from 1-5volts i think cosworths on narrow band work between -1 to +1. can someone verify this?

they are narrowband, 0-1v.

but some titania sensors are 0-1V output too... I have a sneaking suspicion the standard 12mm thread (mounted in the turbo exhaust housing) Cosworth ones may well be.
