recently joined. Bought myself a lovely Escort estate mk5 ghia Si.
im on the hunt for the wheel brace that attaches to the side of the jack. See picture below, it attaches to the brass coloured clips. Can anyone help me please?

 

did you buy that from mathewsons? ive got a jack brace in packet

Yep, bought off Mathewsons a few months ago. Been at the Motorist getting it serviced etc. On the road now. Don’t suppose you have the a nut that removes the locking wheel nut?

 

i dont sadly all differnt you will need to hammer socket on them to get them off... how much did you pay for it in the end from mathewsons?

Hammer went down at Ł5400. Spent quite abit getting her to a decent standard.

 

ah right i seen it and was going to bid but ive down sized unit etc so i had cars to sell myself etc... yes the easy way imo would be to hammer socket on and get the locking nuts off alloys mate

This is my daily work horse 👍 mines a ghia with around 56.000 on it

 

She looks great. Do like an estate. What others car do you have or have you had to sell them all?

 

ive got my escort estate as daily.. my toys got couple of sierras and mk5 escort and a overfinch supersport jeep..

ive got rs2000 side skirts and twin headlights to fit my estate with a gti rear spoiler aswell just havent got round to paintn and fitting them yet 🙄... But there canny cars really

 

Sounds like you have some nice toys. The overfinch sounds unusual!

Did you by any chance own a red Ford Ka, I was looking through the for sale threads and recognised the red one, I’m sure I saw this at the Festival of the Unexceptional last year, may be wrong though?

 

i didnt i had a mk4 fiesta red for sale that was unreal clean its gone to southen ireland that has now.. The overfinch is a 1 of 43 converted first edition l320 petrols that there did worldwide its a very rare thing to see or find..
