whats the best wire wheel to use for cleaning the under side of a car every one ive used are like darts and come flying apart ?

I got a box of 24 off ebay. They arent bad either. Were about 15quid iirc

do they fly apart and stab the hell out of you i had some a while ago i used whist crouching down when i stood up i had 100s of the wire stuck in my legs
is there any thing else that can be used to clean the underside back to bare metal easy ?

After a while but that is going to happen with 99% of them. I have used an aggressive one I bought from a local store with massive bristles that I put on a grinder, and it removes underseal with no problem what so ever, but it leaves a little residue it gets it that hot. You could try a heat gun and chisel. That's what I did, and It wasnt too bad to be fair
