How to fix my Maximig Welder, and get parts?

Default How to fix my Maximig Welder, and get parts?

Hello chaps,

ive got an old maypole maximig welder, the shroud is buggered and the tip is welded to the wire so needs a new one, can anyone adivse where to get these parts from and what they are ctually called?

You can tell im no welder

Worth joining mig-welding.co.uk theres a wealth of info on there.

Saying that shrouds and tips are a standard part, if its a euro-lance, and if not, normally welders can be conveted to euro lance in a matter of minutes without specialist tools from what I remember. Euro lances are readily available online.

Don't quote me on that though...

Cheers jordan, unfortunatly mine cannot use a euro so im told, but I would be very interested to find out how to convert, ive joined welderfab, will look into mig-welding now, thank very much

i think you should just leave the welding to the professionals....................................

I think your right do you know anyone??? lol

tit, think im just going to buy a machine mart 100amp spesh pal for odds and sods. Car is going for paint next sunday so need to have a GO at patching freddy up asap
