Default Compressor-home useage

I'm thinking of buying a compressor for use at home, will be used mainly for air ratchet and impact gun. As I want to bring my air tools home for when the engine and gearbox have to come out of my cabriolet.

What size compressors are other users using, and any recommendations etc

I would like something semi portable.

Ive got a 3hp one with a 150 litre tank, that works really well.

Im sure you could go smaller though and still be ok if you dont mind it cutting in and out a lot more often.

got the older version of this does a few jobs well but it does go off its nuts after a few bolts i would go for a 50 + ltr one in the future though or just go for a snap on electric impact gun

buy a belt driven one as they are generally better quality than a direct drive one and also are a little quieter

i'd say a 3hp with a minimum of 50l tank would do you good. but i would go for 100l, that will give you a good all round compressor

i have a 2hp clarke 50litre one, works fine, but i'm looking for a 100/150ltr 3hp one for my bigger impact gun/da sander to run a little better.
