Default Steel toe capped boots

whats good?

I've tried the cheapest ones i could find - which soon went in the bin - i've tried expensive mac ones which fell apart in record time and now i'm on my third pair of work supplied ones which are just awful (the rub the top of my toes on the ridge where the steel cap ends)

Soooo been looking on ebay and found dr. martans, snap on boots, cat and dickies?

any of them any good? any opinions?

Blackandblown will tell you the SnapOn boots, as they are the best boots in the world, ever ever.....he can even sell you a pair

Any of the top brands should be fine...aint you got a work wear shop/store near you where you can try a few different boots on?

I had dewalt boots, absolutly fantastic!!!!!!! Wish I had them in my current job.
They had a gortex lining and had padded antibacterial soles, to make your search easier - if you were intrested in these. Cost me about £75

£67.99 hardly overpriced is it?? And you can pay £10 a week too
Seriously, all the branded boots are in the 50-70 quid range and are all made in China, just like Nike, Reebok, Adidas etc

OK i know they may not be suited for a mechanic working on oily floors but i got these from Toolstation and they are the best boots i have ever had.
http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Work.../sd3246/p25859

I have been through load of boots like Dewalt, CAT, Timberland, Scruffs, Vital etc and these are the best by far. Feel like slippers
