I use it both in the garage and out in motorsport competition.

Only done 1 ratchet so far in about 7 years.

Thumbs up here

I use TENG ace stuff takes some serious abuse.
After my experience with snap on, I wouldn't buy anything from them anymore.

I got pissed off when I had a my last purchase from them, a 3/8 torque wrench.
I was using it when it gave all of a sudden, ie it broke, no problem thought I as I went to see my local snap on dealer from whom I had purchased it, about 18 months earlier.
Anyway long and short he sends it away, takes 3 WEEKS to come back, I was CHARGED £52 for fix, as these are excluded from warranty, pissed off I go home.
Two days later used it to torque up a bolt to 27lb ft, well within range, can you guess what happens, YES it broke again same problem.
Take it back moaning, this time they don't charge me, but I ask snap on man to try it, he does and it goes again, he didn't beleive I had not abused it after first fix, I said well I had to pay so what business is it of yours ?
So now I am left with a torque wrench that is broken despite having paid to get it fixed, they then refused to fix it, citing "abuse" as a reason, the dealer was no help, he made a phone call and then layed down and took it like a dog when they said it had been abused again as that was the only thing that could break it again, so I would have to pay again, so I told him to shove it where the sun don't shine.
The MORAL though for me was that I bought 3 TENG torque wrenches, two of which together were LESS than the cost of the REPAIR to the snap on one, on edeveloped a problem, dealer took one out of a set so I did not have to wait, he did not even want to know why it had failed.
I look at it this way, if service is this good with TENG it will be there for life, and the so called quality of snap on is not worth paying for as a. it is not there and b. you get a better warranty with TENG, if a TENG breaks five times and is replaced five times you still have the tool you paid for fully working.

Snap on !!!! More like snap off !! Over priced rubbish i say as been in the trade for 25yrs now and always used the cheaper stuff because a few yrs back i went onto snapon gear and found it to be rubbish. I have used britool for a good while now and found there stuff better and stronger for everyday use.
