I bought this bonnet sound proofing for my XR2 off eBay. I tried to clean the marks of it but they won't come off. I was thinking of spraying it to make it look better. I just wondered if anyone else had sprayed there's? And what paint they used? I just don't want to ruin it so thought I'd ask on here. Plus because mine didn't have one on could anyone tell me what clips to use? Here's some photos.

 

Try a kind of paint to use on fabric. You often get them to renew the look of the cars interior.

Ford used plastic rivet screws, you might still get them new.


Option 2: take the sound deadening out, it will rub the paint off of your rocker cover and airbox cover after some time.

just a long shot but have you thought about flocking it ? I'm not sure how flexible it is but it might be worth a go. I've seen the kits on eBay for around 25 quid.
