Rally design on swalecliff bends does a few bits for sierra. Think they mainly specalise in escort stuff though.

Hi guys my battery on my sierra XR4i has started to go flat while driving!
I know this is the alternater not charging it but why?
One of my belts is wrong size as all others are tight and ones loose (lots of sqweeking) is this the cause of the problem?
I've also fitted a amp and sub to the stereo which has direct feed to the battery!
Last time I drive the car the amp wasn't working!
Then car died from flat batt,
Is this the amp draining the battery or the loose belt? Or both!
Any help would be gratefully received
Am changing all belts for new ones next few days any how!

If you have power steering then you'll have three belts if not you'll only have two. So one for the power steering pump and two for the alternator

You could always try my mate Steve for any help. He has 2 cossies and is always working on older cars. He also helps me look after mine.

He is located just off Station Road in Herne Bay.

Hi Steve would you mate be able to set up the whole fuel and injector system as advised earlier on in thread?
I've give the old girl good service bets plugs leads etc,
Just got to sort tappets and make sure it's all running correct!
Cheers Ashley
