Mfi to efi
hi guys! not been on or posted for a while so here goes! lol!
i recently baught an e reg mk4 xr3i which is totally standard and no mods what so ever,it has the mfi engine in it so i was wondering if it was easy enuf to swap engines for an efi lump and ecu out my old xr3i which has ashley 4branch manifold,racing cam,vernier timing gear,traight thru 3'' magnex ss exhaust and magnex back box?
any help is appreciated!

any reasons for keeping it mfi? iv spent quite a lot on my other engine and dont want 2get rid of it and id rather have the engine with more power as apposed 2the standard mfi!

If youve still got the other car everything will swop over you'll need to change the loom for the efi one, the fuel tank as its got an intank pump and your engine bay fuel lines as there differant too.

mfi has less flat spots and IMO it feels more pokey and they also sound better with a drilled airbox lol.
efi has lots of sensors to go wrong and they always seem to run rough and at low crawling speeds the engine jurks about lol.
realistically efi wouldnt make alot more power than standard unless u spend thousands mate
