Was wondering if there are any little points you guys know about that i should look out for...
its on an f plate 78k miles looking clean from the pics and pretty much standard, up for £4495 locally.. How is that price??
Thanks for taking the time to reply (if you do)..

In no particular order,
Rear Arches for rust.
Check for the ford stamp in the front wings as well as the date.
Rear wishbones also rust.
Usual rattles and smoke checks for the engine and turbo.
Check the ABS
I think the vin stamp in the floor should be raised NOT imprinted.
Theres a thread on here of all the Vin numbers and what they mean, 2wd, 4x4 etc etc.
history is the most important thing in my view. Tally up any history against the MOT to check mileage.
A must is a HPI. Too many dogs out there.

History is bollox, any muppet with a good computer, scanner and printer can fabricate bills, receipts etc etc . Condition is everything, all cossies are getting up in years now and sooner or later they will need money spent on them. Make sure that what you buy is trouble free. History is only important if you plan to sell the car on for profit, if you are buying it to run, then just make sure that its clean and straight. A good one will give you years of trouble free motoring but a nail will cost you the purchase price again to put right
