Default good or bad?

just wanted to check whether i got a good deal or not as u guys obviously no wot u talkin about. i picked up a G-plate 2wd sapphire cosworth thursday nite. full scorpion stainless exhaust system, -31 actuator, full samco silicone hose kit, bailey single piston dump valve, RS500 intercooler, polished ally battery cover, polished coil and air filter heat sheild, K&N induction kit, leather recaro interior, a-pillar mounted oil pressure and boost pressure gauges, original ford radio and equalizer and its been lowered. the only things wrong with it is 1 stone chip on the lower half of the drivers door has just developed into 2 small bubbles and the headgasket is leaking about a pint of water out of the engine just behind the turbo for about every 300 miles. i paid £3000 for it. does that sound about right?

4-pot front calipers and vented discs.
standard stuff for 2wd mate unless you got bigger ap's or summat but unlikely for that price.

whether it's a bargain or not depends largely on why the headgasket is leaking. if it's the usual story of being old and blown out, then you got a bargain. if it's cos the head is damaged or the block cracked then probably not, unless you can do all the work yourself and can get things like parts and machining at cost or trade prices.

i wouldn't drive it hard until you've got it sorted cos if it is only the gasket and you rag it, you could make things a whole lot worse.

anyway, hope you get it repaired and enjoy it. give it a good caning down the acle straight.
