Default smokey joe??

my car (4x4 sapph) sometimes smokes on startup, get quite a cloud occasionally!can happen when hot or cold.doesn't happen all the time though.not excessively smokey when driving.someone suggested worn rings, but surely this would cause smoking all the time?engine seems really strong.anyone got an idea?

My 2wd saff is smoking at the moment aswell, it only does it when i let the car slow down with the gears, then accelerate, a few people have said it may be my turbo or my valve stem oil seals, so i got my turbo ckecked and its fine, im now going to get the seals done, i dont no if yours is quite like that but i would get both looked at. hope this helps at least a little

whats confusing me is that it doesn't smoke on every start!most of the time it is fine but sometimes i get a big cloud!!i took the boost pipes off my turbo today and they are virtually oil free! there is a lot of movement in the shaft though. is it possible for oil in the turbo to leak straight into the exhaust?my mates have been telling me that my car is a bit smokey(blue)i really hope its not the rings!
