Do motorsport developments do the conversion kits for the supra diff too?

Correct. The pinion shaft diameter, pinion bearings and LSD side bearings in the Supra diff are much larger / stronger. Combined with a cast iron housing the total deflection is much lower - hence it can take a lot more torque than the Cosworth diff.
Also, the stock Supra LSD is much stronger with 4 pinion gears, compared to the 2 in the Cosworth LSD

MT75 boxes cant cope with anything over 350ftlbs torque in rwd format...... I know cos I have done 3rd gear twice in the last year :-(

This was on both occasions straight line accelerating, not wheelspinning.......... I have 390ftlb on a V6 BOB.

T5 is the next step but even they have a not much higher limit.

Hi Damo,

Nice to hear your V6 turbo is still going strong! Too bad about the gearbox though. Which MT75 did you break? I've heard that the later 2.5 TD box from the bug eye Scorpio would be slightly stronger, but I don't have anything to back that up though...
