Default MT-75 Box Problems

Hello i own a ford sierra sapphire 2.0 efi dohc with an mt75 box that i recently converted but now that i have it all done and put back together the gear box will not go into gear whilst running? I try to force it but still nothing just goes half way into the gear but wont go any further.Another weird thing is if i have the car in gear and the push the clutch to the floor it pops ford with the starter motor at first i thought it was the clutch so i replaced the quadrant gear! And i even put a G-clamp on the lever to which pushes on the clutch to make sure it wasn't the cable? but still wont go in gear i can see the clutch coming away from the flywheel aswell about 1.5 to 2.5 mm? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Yes, the gear stick that actually changes the gears, I would match it to the box
