Default Heater stopped working

Any advice would be appreciated.

The heater on my Sapphire has stopped worked, I turned it on it seemed to start up then nothing??

I have taken the plastic cover off and looked at the wiring and it looks ok.
Anyone have any ideas how I can test if its the motor or my switch inside the car??

Can you not take a live amd earth from the battery and put the wires to the motor to see if its the motor at fault. It might be the heat resistor which is part of the motor.

Doesn't work on any speed setting? Fuse is fine? No symptoms before?

After fuse most common is the resistor on top of the motor, although usually it stops working on 1st speed only. Sometimes it goes all out at once too.

Two wires go from the resistor to the motor, doesn't really matter in this case which way you plug them, but brown is usually earth when it comes to Fords.

Is there not just 2 pins for the motor. It wont matter which way you put the wires. Just make sure the connection isnt plugged in.

See where the black plug is. If you give it a live and a earth the motor should work.
