My oil cooler looks a bit rust inside (cosworth 2WD) I think its called a Modeen cooler.

Can you remove them or is it best to keep em.

Can new ones be purchased

Is it simply keep it in place but bypass with pipework ?????

You can do it like that .
Or you simply just remove it and replace the filter,
But off the top of my head I can't remember whether the fitting that holds it on is a two peice item or one peice .
If it's two peice you should be good to go .
If it's one peice then you will need a shorter one

Mine is a single bolt type thing that holds it on in the centre.
