Default Has bling under the bonnet died?

Hi Lads, is it me or does shiny polioshed bits under the bonnet had there day, i'm starting to put bling under mine to finish the bits that are already there but it seems everything is heading for Black. I must admit Black looks good but i'm torn between the 2, do i powder coat what i've got or keep it all polished, confusion is the word lol HELP!!! Maybe im just being gay

Under bonnet bling is a bit gay IMO. Original and squeaky clean gets my vote over a load of stainless stick on bits every time!

I'm like you and after bling lol I think it's a personal thing or if you get fed up polishing lol then powder coating black is the next way

one thing i have noticed is my polished top mounts are starting to show signs of a bit of surface rust and it does look unsitely, if it were black you wouldn't notice, though polished i think still stands out more if your showing it off lol. Love a bit of autosol

See thats the problem i've got, if you got one colour it looks smart and clean but because i got a bit of both and (i'm a bit lazy) cant be arsed to clean it all the time, i think it looks untidy

My current Saff is a bit blingy, but that's how I bought it, i prefer black tbh like i did on my last 3dr, BUT saying that mine looks fresh so it'll stay

Think I'll go black hoses though

I prefer the Black look but others like the Blingiest Cossie out there. Both Spec-R show cars. Bottom is orginal not sure you can beat that to be Honest.

See i think the black looks the smartest there as the middle one is just over done, feel sorry for the bloke who has to polish it(thats if it gets used). i like a motor that is used . i also think that the carbon look is good also, got any pics of carbon goodness?

All my tanks are bailey but I agree with what's said and I'm going to be painting mine either silver or crackle black. Really can't be arsed polishing it all the time and if you don't looks shite!!!

I painted my strut tops SLR Laurit silver which is a course silver but looks good I think but not too blingy!!

Horses for courses and all of that, personally I can do without the bling under the bonnet, its bad enough trying to keep the interior and exterior clean

Polished tanks etc are fine, BUT sticking SS covers over items is a NO NO. Particularly on performance cars, they are about power and light weight.

Nice thread, been looking for decent pics of engine bays so I can see which of the unwanted holes in the inner wings can be welded up,

Keep the pics coming

Depends on the car tbh if its a standard car then keep it standard.. If its modified then bling it out or make it stealth.

Original as can be

Blinged out

I'm like you mate, loved my standard engine bay, was clean and only ever needed a quick wipe, I think for this engine I will eventually go black.
