Plus 200bhp from a stock lump that are only Ł400/Ł600 to buy complete where as a yb needing a rebuild is aroud Ł1500, for the extra 1k you spend buying a yb you can have a 400bhp engine as long as well maintained and keep check for any oil leaks alls ok!

cheap reliable power from the 24v. yb is a good engine but i felt it lacked torque, the v6 has bags of it.
some reliability issues from the chain but it was sorted with the bob.
i dont think you could ever match the sound of a v6 24v on full throttle at high rpm with a 4cyl turbo.

After I started the Saff 24v, my mk3 mongdeo daily suffered a few faults and needed loads of money spending... instead I managed to find an XR4x4 with a BOA that was brand new when the guy fitted it (10 years ago) it's done about 35,000 now. Goes well, sounds awesome as said at high revs, after 3,000 rpm they pull so good. I,m going to shed this engine of it's 4x4 crap and stick it in the Saff - should be even better.
I'm not convinced myself of the way a heavy v6 lump affects a Sierra's handling though. Will know more when it's in the Saff as a RWD experience.

yea i know the rebuild to around the 400 bhp on a yb is not that cheap as thats what i am doing lol but the reason for me going the yb root is that you can buy more shiney bits n bobs and i like the way the engine is put together but i did look at the v6 before this , tbh i did not think there was much to do to the v6 tuneing wise but i am wrong good to know what can be done with it well done guys

This is 1 reason v6 tirbo is better! Just see a standard saph 1.6lx on standard springs/shocks, exhaust and skinny wheels running a standard BOA only mod a garret gt40 with megasquirt at 0.75psi it absolutely pissed a 500bhp saph cossie, it was gone in seconds hit 3rd cloud of smoke from tyres car was gone

What do you guys want pics of? At this moment in time i am just waiting on a bloke for gearbox then i need starter motor and 2wd powersteering rack and 2ltr dohc prop then im ready to remove 4x4 set up and engine out for transplant to start, get stuff back from powder coaters next week!

Because the 3 main choices for rwd are type9 and mt75 hybrid or T5, type9 will shit its self as soon as you give it stick its on its limit at 200 torque!
Mt75 hybrid apparently wont mate to a 2wd cossie prop as its made for T5 but box can take stick, T5 box does syncros doesnt like harsh down shifting and is expensive for the adaptor to mate to v6 engine
