Default Is the master cylinder (brakes) on 2wd the same as 4wd?

I've been running a 2wd sapphire for a week now that I bought to use or another project, gave a lift to the mother in law and she got more than she bargained for.
As we approached a corner there was a truck on our side of the road, so I went for the brakes and there was nothing. Luckily I managed to get down the side of it with a bit of curb jumpin :-(
Got it back to the shop and started from the back front as there was a little effort from the front.
There was no fluid getting to the rear callipers. 7joins later I traced it to a faulty master cylinder.
I have a spare but it's miles away at a mates and mines a 2wd. Anyone know if they are the same before I travel all that way?
Thanks for any help

Must be I have a 4x4 on my 2wd as it allows more room for for a bigger Turbo.

They may well be interchangable, but they are not the same.

I am pretty sure though, 2WD is the same as another ABS model? (Dojj to the rescue please )
