2wd Sierra Cosworth ABS/Servo Wiring
Hi Guys,
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 2wd Sierra cosworth ABS pump / brake servo?
I have bought a Sierra cosworth and the wiring has been taken completely out for the braking system. I'm not fussed about having the ABS. Is there a way to wire it up so I have brakes with no ABS? The pedal is solid at the moment.

I will send you a diagram at some point (Same as any other high spec ABS model anyway), yes these have electronic assistance, so they have effectively rendered the car useless and dangerous as it is at the moment!
No, you don't need the ABS, (They probably have removed the ECU anyway?) but you will do for MOT time I think.

Yeah it's not any use at the moment! The pedal is solid. A wiring diagram would be much appreciated. The ABS ECU has been taken out. If I wire up the brake servo that will let the brakes work correctly without ABS but the light will be on? Am i right? ha

Do you have a diagram showing how to bypass abs and just have the power assist working. I'm installing the booster unit from a Scorpio to replace the vacuum booster used here in the XR4Ti.

Hey guys, have you tried the Non Cosworth Haynes manual page 303, I think the non cosworth have the same brake / abs system.

give Ronnie Amis a message as he was the one that could get hold of the loom just to power the master cylinder(he had it on his 3dr) , think it was around Ł90

Wiring the brake booster
This is how we use a Scorpio booster on our XR4Ti's here in the states, your wire colors might be the same.
Very easy to wire in with a standard four pin relay.. just take a 12+ feed to pin 30 of the relay, then wire pin 87 of the relay to the abs pump motor red + wire...and ground the other pump motor brown wire directly to the chassis.
pin 86 on the relay goes to a switched ignition live from the fusebox.
pin 85 is wired to the brown/black wire from the 5 wire pressure switch on the master cylinder.
find the brown wire on the pressure switch and ground it directly to the chassis.
This will allow the accumulator to build up the 2650 psi pressure required and will cut the feed to the pump motor when the pressure switch is tripped.
You can also wire in warning lights when the pressure is not up.

old thread but if anyone still uses this site can you tell me:
what pipes go where on the servo?
im using a cosworth abs servo on a non abs car so need to plumb in the brake lines directly to the servo
I know this can be done as my old saph sleeper was done like this but never noted where the lines went

Show me which one your are using, on mine there was one for the front left, one for the front right and only one going to the rear. Let me see if I can find a pic of my hydro booster..
Rear outlet to the right front, front to left front, middle with the pressure valve to the rear.
Rear outlet to the right front, front to left front, middle with the pressure valve to the rear.
