I put my car on the ramp and removed all sensors both rears and the osf were ok.Both the sensor and the ring were clean.
I took the nsf out and found what looks like wheel bearing grease on the sensor and the pick up ring. I cleaned the grease off the ring and sensor.
Drove the car half way home and the light come back on.Now im thinkin is the dirt seal for the wheel bearing damaged causing the grease to get on the parts.I will have a go at talking the sensor out again and check for grease.
Ive got a wheel bearing kit so i might change it and the seal.

sounds about right then, the grease will be "fooling" the sensor which throws up the fault
when my wheel bearing went, the sensor got chewed up and i lost all pedal to the brakes and had to use some gears and handbrake to slow the thing down, but there were no lights on the dash at all

Your meter doesn't do AC voltage Glenn, thats the problem.
You may need the fluid level above max, i had problems like you describe until i 'overfilled' my reservoir.

Took the nsf sensor out last nite. There was a bit of grease on the pick up ring. I cleanef that off and tryed it round the block. No light came on. Drove to work this morning the pedal was pumping on my foot the first time i braked then after that it was ok.The light came on and off a few times on the way to work.Im gonna have to check the ac voltage again.

Glad you have sorted it, re the meter the 'V' with the horizontal line and three dots under it is DC voltage, the other one with the wavy line is AC.
As that has a very small scale you would best on the 200V position for testing sensor output, should the need arise in the future.
