Had a quick dyno tune today.
Boost peaks at 20psi then drops off as rpm increases.
It made 256.7rwhp. So I guess its over 310hp at the engine. Depends on what your calculation is from wheel hp to flywheel!
Still on the std turbo, so that will do for now!
I will see how it goes at the track on thursday!

Cheers Marco. Should be fun!
Yes mate wanneroo on thursday. Its a full day no limits event. Both long and short track.
I had it tuned at Allstar Garage. There was only a few places that I would take my car to for a tune, and they have worked on Autronic and Cossie's before. They do awsome work on evo's, wrx's ect.

Had the trackday on Thursday.
The new diff gave heaps more traction powering out of corners. I Lowerd my short track time by about a second. So I was happy with that.
Only down side was the engine was getting warmer than I would have liked and cutting out on a temperature dependant boost cut. I messed around with the fan setpoints in the autronic and removed the front number plate and it was happy.
So it looks like I will be making up some pannels for closing off the gaps between the front bumper and the intercooler to help with cooling. Also seal the radiator to the intrcooler. A decent temp gauge for oil & water is in order too!
A turbo cooler & oil cooler might help.
More things on the list to buy! Will it ever end!
Here are some pics I found after the event.

Thanks guys.
Those ducts are perfect Marco, good find!
Here are some more pics!
I had just overtaken the car behind me. Always fun.

I have sealed the radiator to the intercooler now. Which has made a noticeable difference enven when cruising around. Also fitted a turbo return water cooler.
I will be making up a pannel to seal the front bar to the cooler/rad at the bottom.
Then I will wait till the next trackday to find out if it has improved!
Ive been moving into my new house so spending on the car has been very low!
Atleast I now have both my cars in the one garage again!

Hi,
Nice motor you got there never seen two tone one like that...
Just managed to get hold of one myself in WA, needs a bit of work tho...
When I get home Thursday gonna set about to change big ends do it from the sump end and inspect the crank whilst I'm there.
Be good to meet up sometime in the near future.

Great track action pics there bud. I can see that licence plate being a problem with cooling. I had the same issue when on a tour with a tour plaque not letting the air get through to the intercooler and rad. The tour organisers now do a magnetic one now lol. Get a turbo cooler mate, they do help drop the temps very well.

If I take it out I may as well do rebuild, don't think its due yet!

Ok. Ive done a few more things to the money pit......
I removed all the aircon from the engine bay. Compressors are heavy and the lines get in the way!
I pulled the front bar off and removed the massive washer bottle from behind the front fog light. I opend up the hole where the filler tube comes through for a cold air path which should be better than sucking warm engine bay air while on track! Just need to fab up some ducting to it.
I also fitted up my bailey breather and the rocker cover I got off Marcosworth! I plumbed the oil return to the sump with some nice braided line and AN fittings.
Here is a pic of the turbo return cooler.
I also fitted some goodridge braided brake lines and did an oil and filter change!

Well after doing almost everything I wanted to do to this car. I have decided to move on and sell it.
Im still not sure its the right thing to do, but it is underway.
Another project is too tempting!
Any one from Australia want a nice saph cossie?

Thanks for the comments guys.
It may sound weird but I like this car too much. I set out wanting a car I could drive every day and use for the odd track day. This does that brilliantly but I get to a track and I don't want to push it for fear of hitting walls and bending it! As these cars are very rare in Australia panels or shells are just not available. I will definitely miss it but I already have one "toy", my mk1 Capri.
So my plan is to build a car that I can drive every day then take to a race track and push hard, with no fear of bending it cause its a common shell.
So a Nissan s15 200sx/silvia will be my next project. But not with a crappy sr20 im going to drop a ls1 v8 into it!
I need to sell the cossie first though!

Haha,
Thanks for the offer but it has sold.
Its staying in Perth which is good. The new owner already has a larger turbo for it.
It will be a monster when its done.
Cheers
Brett
