I run the car like that because it revs up to much and gets stuck. I have tried to clean it with carb cleaner and didnt do a thing.

Ah, there are a few reasons that can happen, all of which should be checked/ adjusted and calibrated before mapping really

really, didnt know that. What will that effect then if it is mapped without it james if you dont mind me asking?

Its done it from the day i brought the car before i had it mapped to.

If your car isn't running well before mapping for example some of the sensors are faulty - if your car is mapped on them then when you decide to change them everything would be all wrong.

A good company would check to make sure everything is right before starting as they would only have to go back and change it taking up time - but obviously Luke hasn't bothered with yours.

Sorry if it sounds like i'm putting a downer on it mate - just think it's shan when you've payed good money for a service that you haven't received

A common cause of iscv issues is the tps and it's calibration, if it was mapped with a fault here then you may run into problems if it's sorted now, ie is the ECU seeing an open throttle position at idle? Because the iscv will open then! But has it now had the fuelling tweaked around that fault? If the tps is not calibrated does the ECU even see WOT?

It's very very rare an iscv fault is actually caused by the iscv itself, and usually a sensor or calibration issue all of which should be sorted first really.

Maybe your lucky though and it was all checked and adjusted first, and your valve is faulty. Let's hope so, but hope and luck is a risky game with cosworths

yeah he does set up on weber, but wont be able to tweat anything on the map

Agreed though, a car should NEVER be live mapped around a fault, that's just asking for trouble
