Smile Sierra GT DOHC brakes upgrade?

Hi fellas!!!
From a few days I am owner of perfect Sierra GT-with only 50k miles on the clock! From this moment I'm starting to upgrade the car- brakes first, then suspension and engine. The front discs are 240mm (no ABS), rear->drums. Can I use front callipers and supports from mondeo V6 pre 96'(278mm) with sierra cosworth discs-4x4 or 2wd, plus some washers or adaptor plate? I don't want to use 300mm discs, becаuse I intend to use 15" wheels. What type of callipers can I use at the rear whit cosworth vented discs? Hеre in Bulgaria, any cosworth is usable, impossible to find second hand cosy parts, eventually new(cosworth callipers) or second hand from some mondeo mk1,2,3
I would be grateful for any information and advice!
Thanks alot!

You have several options, the xr4i(2.8) had 260mm front discs, as did the xr4x4 etc, the 2wd cossie 4 pots at 283mm fit under 15" wheels as they had 15" as standard.
You can use the cossie 2wd discs/calipers simply by tapping out the existing lug hole in the hub, it's already the right size for tapping as well, this is very commonly done.

But in Bulgaria havn't cossy parts in scrapy, only dead mondeos (and few v6)! Can I swap the callipers from them, whit some spacers between the knuckle and supports?

On my sierra, I have scorpio cosworth calipers with 4x4 sierra cosworth discs. I think, or it might be the other way round lol cant remember, I have it written down somewhere. They are 278mm and fit under 15s.

yes. you need

calibers from a facelift mondeo 97-00 and the disc from the same car.

then you have the 278mm brakes that you talk abaut.

you have to redrill the hubs to 12mm to fit the bolts and then put a 10-11mm spacer between the calibers and hubs.

here in denmark cosworth parts are not as easy to find as in UK.

Sorry to hijack your thread but with regards to fitting mondeo brakes, is it possible to fit mk3 mondeo callipers with st170 discs (300mm) it's quite a common conversion on a mk2 mondeo and I already have all the parts as i used to have a mondeo which I was going to upgrade, but since sold the car

I take it I will need to have some spacers made for the carriers as the offset of the larger discs is smaller than the original brakes
