Default 2wd sapphire with 4x4 header tank

As per title, why is this done? (there must be a reason as a silicon adaptor hose is sold by Roose Motorsport?)
I had this set up on my old cossie and I'm rebuilding my new one with most of the parts from the old one. I also have a swirl pot in the system and I'm trying to work out where the hoses go! (I stripped the old one about 5 yrs ago and my memory is not that great lol). My header tank is a polished one so I want to use it really.
My new engine has a 4wd head on it - will this make any difference to this set up?

No. You will be fine. It's the hose kit that's different I think

It is done because you can still buy brand new std 4x4 cos header tanks and they are relatively cheap.
std brand new 2wd header tanks - think they are like rocking horse doodoo.

I used a 4wd one because they don't do the 2wd one, and I'd rather be able to see the level easily.
