Damo, i think Harvey's Spec are supposed to be very good, as you know mine was the UT Type and i wasn't keen on it, mind you i'm sure a change of Inlet cam would of transformed the drive/torque etc, tbh it made nice power @ 440+, but torque was light @ 353.....
Turbo Technics also do one too....
I think with the GT3071 available it's probably a better choice/option??

I liked my Harvey spec T38.63 but really needs a decent inlet cam to make it work proper

Look at what Steve aka cossie4i has just achieved with his Damo, 480bhp with similar torque and that was with one of those AB or whatever cams...
My GT3076 is sold mate, guy's having it tomorrow..
Edited to say,
There's a guy on RSOC Damo who's thinking of selling his Harvey 38..

AB07 inlet cam, transformed the way the power was made and held on. Also no lose of bottom end grunt.
Probably the best ŁŁŁŁŁ spent on the engine to be honest.

Damo,
What Spec engine have you built/are having built anyway?
Have you not though about a 3071 then??
This will be my choice if i change, it'll go to Mark to be fitted & mapped..
I know you were unsure iirc about the strength of the GT Series Turbos, they'll be fine mate....

Damo,
Don't forget you'll be able to pi$$ that on a 3071 with just around 2bar, so it'll be nice and safe too and have T34 type spool up too...

I was on a standard inlet cam, which was timed in by Tony @ Turbosystems.

The turbo does suffer from a bit of surge even with my ported head.
It takes no longer to come on boost than my old T34.55, and hits just as hard.

i ve a tt t38 and imo is a great turbo , would love to have had a decent inlet cam fitted to see what it could really do,
might be for sale too as in the middle off a rebuild atm

I liked my turbo technics t38, didn't find it too laggy and it held 2 bar at over 7k.
Only downside was I was running standard head and cams so it suffered with surge in the midrange,
I would have liked to see what difference an inlet cam change would have made because I never really used it to its full potential.

Mine does as well, and the actuator isn't wound right up either.

It was never rolling roaded but Msd live mapped it and reckoned around 400bhp.
They said if I had the head lightly ported and changed the inlet cam to a bd14 it would have been nearer 440,
But with better midrange
