Default BD14 idle and emmisions

Will i get any problems with rough idle or high emmisions with a BD14 inlet cam? I currently run with a BD10 inlet cam and std. exhaust cam and the idle and emmisions are perfect. (The chip is a msd closed loop) I also have adjustable vernier pullyes on and have timed the cams as they should.

This is how it looks now on 2500 rpm:

Co% = 0,3%
HC = 60 ppm
O2 = 0,1%
Co2 = 14,9%
Lambda = 0.998

Could a BD14 cam uphold the same numbers if the chip gets recalibratet?

You will need valve cutouts to use a BD14

Try a AB07 from Kent Cams

AB07 spec = 1500-6500 powerband, .349" lift and 256 duration

BD14 spec = 2000-7000 powerband .351" lift and 261 duration.

I have the AB07 cam and it drives great, drives like normal but made about 25-30bhp more peak power than a standard cam but at 7000rpm made about 45bhp more.

We should be able to get it back under control with a recalibration mate

Mines fine at idle with a BD14 inlet/standard exhaust - on an MSD chip

I do have valve cutouts, so thats not a problem. My current inlet cam is a cat cams "fast road cam" 23308267 251 duration and 8,7mm lift. Is that not very similar to a AB07 cam?

Your cam is slightly "softer" with 8.7mm lift 251 duration, the AB07 cam has 8.86mm lift, and slightly longer duration.
The AB07 is between BD12 and BD14, a lot closer to BD14 than 12.
