Default Electric Sunroof Woes

Hi All.

Does anyone know if you can manually move an electric sunroof in a Saff.
The motor in mine sounds like its trying, but it isnt moving the glass at all.
Worst of all, water now appears to be leaking past the sunroof somewhere so i need to somehow check that the drain channels are not blocked.
Is it possible to remove the sunroof complete whilst its jammed?

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Hello have you dropped the panel that houses the motor off and tried a pair of grips on the splines??Be careful not to knacker them though!!I have only ever taken out sunroofs when they are open,I think thats the only way!?

Try popping up first, use a plastic ruler and run this around the edge of the sunroof outer(seal) edge, pushing down between the sunroof and the body to "seperate" the seal between the sunroof and body as crud sticks these together, esp on sunroofs that are never used, then put some grease between the sunroof edge seal and the bodywork.
Now try with a helper pushing up from the inside to assist the motor, once this is done the sunroof will go back easy enough.
Exercise is the cure for the problem though in the long run.
