Default Water injection. What kit??

Hey,

Im looking to install water injection on my 4x4 saph and have been having a little look around. I have heard that Aquamist kits are the best, but am looking to spend less than 400.
These AEM kits seem to price up quite well, but I was wondering if anyone has any experience or opinions on them.

Thats the link, £350 all in. Looks quite good but want to get some opinions before I go and spunk £350. Thanks

I spent a lot of time thinking about this for my car because the regs of the series I race in prevent me from running a big intercooler.

Can you not cool the air with a bigger intercooler?

Anyway, if not, the Aquamist basic kit should be fine for most applications. I have a pump and lines and the quality is great. I was planning on using the windscreen washer tank for the water tank. The ERL/Aquamist site has a great forum with discussions on pre-turbo, post turbo applications, fogger nozzle sizes, etc etc.

do you guys not recommend it then unless you are using it for track etc. I mean I do have a big intercooler 76mm core rs500. Would it be a waste of money?? I suppose my ACT's shouldntbe to bad. I am running a gt30, and will be getting it setup soon. Looking to run 450bhp around a bout

Any help would be great

You'd run water injection on boost when charge air temps are above a certain threshold. You need a tank of water to inject, then you need to consider when you'd need it. All the time? How much water do you need to carry? How much flow?

It's a real specialist way of cooling the intake air that you can generally do with a bigger intercooler. If your intercooler size is limited and there's no other way, then it may be worth doing.
