How easy zetec into p100?
Hi everyone
Been a car nutter all my life--too late to stop now!! So why should I!!
Just bought a very straight p100 pickup 2.0 liter pinto, must be one of the last ever made as its on an "L" plate. Only done 91k and been looked after, one owner!!
Just want to "hop it up" a bit, is a zetec easy enough to fit? Only want a weekends job, one out one in. No long drawn out 24v conversions, and am gonna use it for work as well as play. Just something about these trucks that appeal to me. Any ideas??
Cheers

i reckon you,d save time sticking the 24v in. i love these in p100/sierra,s
once she,s in you,d do well to hurt it
As said surely the zetec engine is gonna be more work to install correctly. The weekend job imo fits 24v all day long with the right bits to complete.

hi im looking to do the same but im going to use bike carbs on mine 170 at the fly wheel so they say so far this is what i have found out
Using the original Mondeo exhaust down pipe cuts the exhaust cost , its easy to buy a few bends & bit of pipe and fabricate that, you loose a few bhp, but probably won't notice that.
You need the Retroford water rail, cheapest around, but might be able to cut & reweld the sump if you know a good alloy welder.
Engine mounts are from Sierra CVH engine, so get looking for those, spigot bearing is needded for the crank £ 10 let me know how you get on im going gathering up the bits i need wont start it until the winter
