3 Door 4x4 Tickford
Saw this advertised for sale in Ireland. Ad reads as follows:
87 3dr sierra cosworth 4x4 .1 of only 13 built in 4 wheel drive.fair condition for year.64000miles.has 4x4 front and built by tickford.or px
Registration check shows it as a Sapphire Cosworth but what's the description all about? One of 13 built by Tickford? I've never seen or heard of a 3 door Tickford built 4x4, especially with the newer front & rear tail lights.

I think it looks quite nice with the sapphy lights, but again never heard of tickford doing this.
Ford built a 4wd 3 door however during cossie development, but that was std 3 door appearance wise.

I quite like that front end on the 3dr.
Very unusual as all the mk 2 3dr sierras were left hand drive, and they also have the saff fuel filler with the big flap, that shell has a mk1 filler.
My guess is someone has reshelled a 4x4 saff cos into a mk1 3dr shell and fitted the front end from the donor and transfered the ID from the saff into the 3dr shell and then made up a story about Tickford being involved.

After reading this an looking at the Sierra's in the links from this forum http://forum.fordsierraclub.co.uk/vi...p?f=15&t=46471
I cant help but think its a foreign car, hope the link work and look who started the thread Dojjmeister.
Also look at the rear lights, smoked but round ? same as mk2.I didnt think they would fit into a original 3dr shell ?.Oh yeah, ones been converted to right hand drive as well.

i think it looks pretty good, just not as good as the original front end. id agree with what paul said. chances are the owner believes the story about it being a tickford this and that as the previous owner piled it all on his to sell it.
