3dr sunroof
as the weather is nice iv just been out in the car and i was obviously doing around 70ishhh and the sunroof was closed when the left hand side of the sunroof lifted so i obviously slowed down, when i pulled over i checked the sunroof and it seems to be sitting o.k maybe a little bit higher on the passenger side now.
How can i stop this from happening again and how is the sunroof held in, is there any adjustment to help it sit correctly.
thanks Pete

There is a few different ways to set the height on the mk1 sierra, but pretty sure yours will be with a plastic guide each side that moves forward/backward, this has a hump on it that pushes the roof directly up or lets it down, slide sunroof back look along the side edges and you should see a small plastic bit that has markings on it, this is to ensure it's even both sides.
The sunroof actually removes by means of a philips screw in each front corner that screw the sunroofs metal bracket to the mechanism, then again at the rear edge.
These "simply" unscrew, the truth is they are such soft metal and rusted you don't stand a chance, I usually take the whole mechanism out and attack them that way, if you need to remove for any reason.

There were a lot of problems with the mk1 sierra sunroof in this area, at a speed of ahem 70!!
Alwasy happened to my xr4i, despite being adjusted correct height, so I set it 2-3mm higher than the roof line(rear only) and it stopped 100% of it totally.
