Throttle control sensor
My wife has a sierra sapphire azura. With a 1800 CVH engine,I took the battery leads of to charge the battery when I put them back the throttle control sensor stayed in the up right position after I turned of the engine and remained there next time I stared it up.I've tried taking the leads of and leaving them of for a while and then replacing them and starting the engine but still getting the same results. Can any one help please.

the fuel system is the CFI type.I think the part might be the throttle valve control motor. It is situated at the back of the system facing upwards and held on with three screws. As there are no photos of it in the workshop manual I can only guess at what it's called. Thank you for your replies.
