Help with saff cossie head lining.
Right people ive got the proper spray glue to repair my head lining again.Whats the best way to clean the head lining,ie remove the cloth part and put in the washingn machine. Is there any east way to get all that orange shit (old glue) off the card board part of the head lining.I really hope this time i can repair it without it falling down again.

20K+ Super Poster.
If the old glue is still secure no need to remove, I have some closed cell material for when I get around to doing mine, as want to change the colour slightly anyway.

i was thinking of getting a syringe with glue in, and trying to re stick it, without removing headlining.
may not work, just an idea i had.

if i wasnt tryin to keep mine standard i would of done an alacantra one -- would be lovely to feel ...
Mine did sag but i did have at a time .. i undid all the rear bit --- when it was danglin behind the front seats i sprayed the underside of the roof and the headlining then stuck it back up in stages like a foot at a time and it stuck properly and then once that side was sorted i did the front same way.
There's two types of carpet spray glue --- there's like a normal one and a super strong one - i had to get mine from our local carpet fitter as the other stuff was like sticking a snowboard up with bluetack and was garbage!

someone sent me a link to a ebay ad. The glue says its for head linings. Like i said ive got a spare head lining at home. I might just glue a bit at a time. Whats the best way to clean it then. I used some auto glym carpet cleaner spray stuff last time. I might just use that again.

I work with this adhesive day in day out,and have already done this job on a 3dr over 1 year ago with no resagging.
Do a couple of feet at a time( if your not that confident with the adhesive) , spray both the liner and the cloth and wait for it to dry 5 to 10 mins until its finger tacky ,and then lay the cloth on rubbing out the creases as you go,, if after the first coat of adhesive you think its a bit to dry spray it again and wait until its tacky again as sometimes you need to (prime)the area with glue as sometimes especially on old foam the adhesive will be virtually absorbed, hope this helps,Darren.

I wouldnt bother trying to re stick the oe cloth tbh pm moonstone steve as I got my grey cloth off him and it was enough to do the rear 1/4 trims as well
or do what I did and change the colour to black as the grey always looks grubby imho
