ECU CO2

ECU CO2
Hello
I was wondering how important it is to have the idle CO2 set prior to a dyno tune.
Surely if the car is dyno'd, as long as it is mapped properly and the AFR is ok and there is no detonation throughout the map, it will be ok, or am I wrong here?
Is the idle CO2 more important for a car running standard tune as it gives a reference point of calibration for the standard ECU map?
Cheers
Ben

it is important; are you having a live map or off the shelf chip?
if its off the shelf chip; the CO% will be determined by the writer of the chip. as an example the chip in mine is msd and it MUST be set to between 2.5 - 2.7% (non lambda) at idle
By adjusting the CO% screw on the ecu, you change the whole map (globally)

If the rolling road operator knows what he is doing he will check things like this anyway, but ask just to be sure.
The guy I use doesn't even look at doing it to any co around slow running or idle, all done by feel, turns out mine is happy as larry at 0.97% CO idle, on greys with T34 etc.
Just check the usual pump voltage under load, fan circuit, fuel pressure etc.
