Default Burton Power T-5 hydraulic clutch kit?

Hi folks, greetings from sunny old Ireland! I am just wondering if anyone out there in Ford land has used the Burton Power T-5 hydraulic clutch kit which they have advertised in their catalouge. If you have ,I was wondering how you found it to fit(did you need many other parts to complete the kit), use, reliability and value for money? Look forward to hearing from you, cheeRS. TTFN .

Hi Folks, thanks for all the feedback. I think the Burton kit is supposed to bolt straight on without to much hassle and then to plumb in the lines that are needed?. On the other hand,Martins kit is widely used and recommended. Keep the posts coming,as all advice is welcome, cheeRS!
P.S. Good to hear from you again Rob,went for that gearbox in the end as it seemed a good buy, cant wait to see your new project up and running!

Why is hydraulic an upgrade? Where i work, it's regular for fords that the hydraulic cilinders are leaking.
So i have my doubts if i would want it for reliability issues.

Hydraulic is an upgrade as most of the effort required in pushing the clutch pedal in a normal cable clutch cossie is to overcome cable friction.
They are fine when they are new, but then the teflon inner liner rucks up and attempts to seize the cable, so requiring so much more effort.
I've done a hydraulic conversion on my dads xr4i, that has a v8 and a seriously heavy clutch diaphragm when it was on cable, it broke the pedal box, since converting to cable it's not much heavier than the accelerator, but also 1000% more controllable with no sticky points, unlike a cossie cable.
I did his with MGB and V8 sherpa bits for well under £100.

Hi guys, my sierra has an AP paddle clutch and sometimes when being a bit enthusastic I remember that the clutchcable is held on with plastic so the conversion should ease any stress on this part.. Hopefully. CheeRS,TTFN.

It's a awsome mod, I had to move my dads 4i yesterday, so jumped in started it up pressed the clutch and thought bollocks the cables snapped, used to my cossie you see, it really is that light and oh so controllable.
