Default t9 box problem

hi i wonder if u can help me my t9 box has no reverse gear and it crunches in other gears when it wants does anyone no wots up with is it fucked or can it be cured thanks for ur help

Sounds like the synchros are knackered, or the clutch isn't disengaging fully.

Wait for a second opinion though

Even though gearboxes are much of a sameness, is it a Type 9 or a Cossie T5 box?

The dragging clutch can certainly cause this issue, as mentioned above. If you end up taking the cover off the gearbox, inspect the block that slips over the shift rail that engages the shift forks. I've had the little tab shear off of that shift block before, so the shifter would do little more than barely budge the synchros against the gears.
