Hi,
I have recently sourced a 205 block to use for my new engine (2wd) and my machine shop has started dummy assembling the bottom end for me and it has been discovered that the pistons are sitting around 55thou proud of the block deck!
The pistons are 1.0mm over Mahle's.
I recall that my last engine had the pistons sitting slightly proud, but it was nothing compared to how far the new ones are poking out.
Does anyone know what the standard deck height is ? and what it is acceptable to deck them to ?
Thanks,
Damion
