Default cosworth woes

hi all

whent out in the saph last night an it has developed a bit of a problem. its a bit difficult to explane but al giv it ago. basicly it drives fine off boost but when it comes on boost it will pull for a couple of seconds then it shuts the throtle completely. it doesnt cut out just backs off, if i keep my foot in it will boost up again then back off again. any help apreciated ment 2 b of to coomb next sat

Couldn't be the throttle position sensor or wiring could it? Just a guess.

tabs dont know bout fillter i havent changed it but dont know bout previous owner?

kossienutter well al be going with or with out the cos but if it makes it al b on south lincs stand

cheers 4 the advice peeps think al get it looked at sounds like it could b a million things

things to look at :

check fuel filter - change if it looks old

does this only happen if the fuel tank is only 1/4 full or lower ? if so, new fuel tank required

check fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose isn't leaking/split

check fuel pump voltage

sorted

it was the vac hose from fuel reg. some how it managed to come loose even with clips on each end cheers 4 the help thoug guys roll on coombe

if its a 2wd car you have mate and the vac pipe -fuel reg has come loose

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE HOSE THAT CONNECTS THE REG TO THE RAIL ALSO

MELTDOWN WAITING TO HAPPEN IF ITS SPLIT OR LOOSE TRUST ME !!!!

just make sure you check it too

glenny - yea specialy stupid little things that arnt obvious but can cause serious problems
