I used a bit solvent the other day on a fiddle job,i couldnt go back to using that after using water so long,when we first got water in all them years ago i though id never get used to it but i like using water but aye white base coats are fooking wank,would of done the same myself using 2k.
well fingers crossed it will go throu with flyin colours..
i doubt it. never had a car go straight through yet. will know this time next week tho..

i could easily go back to it. fooking hate the water base crap. if it go's wrong there's fuck all you can do with it. hate it with a passion!!!
it was standox's dark grey pro filler. bloody good primer!
Aye,at least you get a chance with solvent i suppose,but water covers better.

got a bit more done lately. trim's skirt's are on an got the lower arm and cv boot done tonight. the abs light is also now going out.just really gotta finish the interior an then it's mot time!!
got a bit more done tonight. got the bumper all lined up again. after my bracket's broke. arch liner's in the front rad fan's in and working and a new plug for the temp sender on the rad. the connecter for it had furred up and it wouldn't fit on. luckily there was a plug the same on the diesel scrapper out side.. got a few bit's off that one now!!
Aye,white primer,use them on yellows aswell,done a milano red honda jazz yesterd,painted two sides and a bonnet,repairs all over,primed them white and it took two wet coats and a medium and no problems at all.

i'll ask him and see. might just have to get some sikkens primer if they don't do it. we've had a couple of job's come back that's been done in red. because we've had to put so much paint on it the first coat's aint been right dry and when it's been laquered an baked the water come's through. right pain in the arse!
