fitting a 4wd intercooler to 2wd
So I got a 4wd intercooler and noticed it's quite a bit longer and the exit it a slightly different angle.
Fitting it to a saff requires a bit different piping to throttle I assume. No need for a 4wd inlet manifold?

NO all pipes the same as 2wd, done it myself, best way to do it is cut off the rad lug that goes on the bobbin on the intercooler, on the right hand side, as this will not line up now, then reweld so that you have 30" between each slot in the lugs, centre to centre measurement, just check on 30", as a while since done one, then reweld lug back on rad, job done.
Now it will go straight on, have to pull bobbin down a bit but works ok.

Ok cool, thanks for the tips. I knew I could "make" it fit but was hoping for a non weld option. No biggie, the local boat builder is a block away and welds on the cheap.
The pipes are a bit farther spaced apart and I'm sure the silicone I'll use will just fit with a bit of bend.
