Hi guys my 4x4 seems to have a 205 block is the correct? its a 1990 build date

Hi mate, there was a long thread about this in Gen Discussion a few days ago. As usual it descended into a bit of a bicker and there were some people saying that absolutely all 4x4 had 200 blocks, while a few people said some had 205 blocks.

3 big numbers on the exhaust side of the block. either 200 or 205

I have just seen 205 when i took the inlet manifold off

This is where it is on the rs500 block - assume its the same but can anyone confirm?

Just checked my engine number and it matches my vin and all my windows are etched with this number, so i am asuming that the 205 block is original from factory

the 4x4 1990 i got also had a 205 block from new..

Mine's in the same place
Note: 1990 build codes start with L, so a 1990 one would be Lx12345
