Default Relay 'chatter' behind the dash

Anyone else had this? Sometimes when I start the car one of the fuel relays near the ECU chatters away and the engine management light comes on. Its now happening regularily at full boost as well - so getting a pair of new ones.

Is this common?

I've not heard of it, but sounds like a relay breaking down.

Somehow I have this vision of a relay being thrown at the dash and pop - it magically goes in Stu

Have ordered a pair so lets see if thats it eh? As you say a duff amal sounds very similar so who knows.

I am also now at the end of the map and fuelling effectively. 437 at the wheels now and still on greys.

No, you got me wrong fella....I just opened the door (drivers) and threw the relay in that way

t'was one of the two hanging around the ecu area (mine have never been secured up there...think ones for the amal valve and the other one is for the fuel pump) that I replaced...nothing fancy about said relays and I found one in my tool box that fitted the bill, probably a main beam relay or similar that I used tbh.
