2 litre pinto into sierra v6
Hello all, im new to the forum and ive just purchased my first sierra. It was a 2 litre EFI but was converted to a 2.8 V6 by the previous owner, unfortunately a conrod went through the side of the block so the engine is scrap. However, i'm going to put a 2 litre pinto with the 205 block in it and i'm hoping someone could help me with a few questions-
1st. Ive heard that the 2 litre pinto will bolt into the cologne v6 engine mounts, is this true??
2nd. The car has a type 9 gearbox in it, will the bolt pattern of the v6 bellhousing mate with the pinto? also will i need a spacer between the bellhousing and gearbox to shorten the layshaft? if so, will this mean i need a new propshaft as well??
Sorry if i have bombarded you, but any help would be great!!
Many thanks, Lee.

To fit the pinto back in you need a different bell housing to the v6 one.
You need a bellhousing to suit a 1.6,1.8 or 2.0 sierra.
stick the v6 bellhousing on ebay they seem to fetch good money on there!
I assume its been kept 2wd and if so there shouldn't be an issue with engine mounts as prevously said.
