Thanks, I'm intending to take it off to inspect, find out if it's the thing that's causing a bad camber and bumping noises. Just need to know if I need any special tools or if I'm going to be unable to put it back together again by doing it wrongly.

Right, well I undid the bolts both ends, the thing didn't want to shift. But, I noticed that the balljoint retaining bolt was bent, with 3 or 4 flat spots rubbed on it's main shaft. And I think it may have not been done up tight enough. I cleaned it and bolted it back up, real tight so there was no gap in the pinch line, where it had been about 1 mm gap before I undid it. I took the car for a spin and it seems much better, I'm going to go for a longer drive, do some bumpy roads this time as this is when it really made a racket before.
I think thus I need a new bolt to hold the end. Do I need a ball joint too and do I buy the balljoint seperate from the lower arm or do I buy a new lower arm and it come with a balljoint in it already????
