Default Shim kit for rear

Hello!

Where can I buy shim kit for rear trailing arms to decrease the camber, side effect of lowering.

THanks

The shims arenot for altering camber but to correct the toe angle after you have lowered the car.

just to clarify a bit as he is foreign and may not understand the replies so far.

when you use lower springs on the rear, not only do you get more negative camber, but the wheels will also toe out more. as the trailing arm moves upwards, it also moves the front of the wheel outwards and the rear of the wheel inwards.

that change of toe is what makes the car handle worse with lower springs and increases the tyre wear on the inside edge.

the negative camber is not good for traction in a straight line as there is not as big a contact patch, so it is also worth correcting. that can be done by making the hole in the rear beam for the inner semi trailing arm bigger, and using big washers either side to set the camber. when you have what you want, you can then spot weld the washers in place. this is how group a sierra's used to do it

in my opinion, unless you have an adjustable beam, it is better to use standard height springs

Nick i thought that when you lowered that it gave Toe out not in bud? Thats why the inside edges wear quickly.

The shims that i had of Stu are going on in a couple of weeks, the instructions state that they should be inserted at the back 2 bolts, this would then give you some toe in? or thats the way i understood it bud.

Thanks your replies.

I think items like this:

It is for camber not for toe, but a bit hard to fabricate it. Unfortunatelly my lowering spring got tired, and I have replace it, but here in Hungary there is no chance to get good spring for cosworth.

would these have any benefits on a cossie with std height springs, as my 3dr could do with an improvement in traction.

YES will improve std stuff as well, stops adverse inner tyre wear.
When I put some on it stopped 100% of the inner tyre wear.
