Default Tickover help

Can anyone tell my why my 4X4 keeps jumping to 1500 revs on tickover and wont drop back down

Sounds like the Idle Speed Control Valve bud, located near the injector rail, just needs removed and cleaned, petrol will do the trick. There's a thread on this site that shows it's exact location

May be you have an electronic problem with one of your 6 sensors, and your ECU run the engine on 1.500 rpm to advise driver for this problem.
Only L8 and P8 ECU are able to do that.
First, do an autodiag.
