Default will these wheels/tyres fit 4x4?

rs 7-spoke style, 17", were on a 2wd cosie

casting mark says 7.5J 17, h2 ET38

tried them with 215/45 tyres but the hit the spring cup on the 4x4.
heard that if i fit 40 profile tyres they may go 'under' the spring cup...
anybody got any experiences?

cheers

I've got the below diamond cut RS7's fitted on my 4x4 Saff. 215/40/17 tyres. Koni shocks and lowered 35mm. To be fair, I did have to have the arches rolled.

Good luck

got these on mine and if your going for 17's you should use 40 tyres as the rolling radius will be different and put your speedo out fit fine on my 2wd sapph although had to space the front out about 4mm cos they hit the calipers then again i have 205/40/17's on mine cos the pirelli nero's i got where extremely cheap

as above mate, with 40 profile you shouldn't have any hassle, thats what was on mine when i got it.

It was on standard suspension though

thanks or the answers, the car is on standard suspension, just didn't want to waste more money on 40 profile tyres to find they don't fit. already bought 45 profile tyres for it
